Implant Surgery
The implant surgery is when the abutment and crown is placed onto the missing tooth.

The cost of dental implants increases based on a few key factors
The technical experience and skill of the dentist
Placing dental implants might seem easy but a wrongly placed dental implant can be disastrous for the patient. A dental surgeon with technical experience and skill knows the importance of accurate implant placement and will be able to rely on experience to make the right surgical decisions.
The complexity of the treatment plan
Every patient comes in with a different set of teeth. You might not need gum or bone grafting, while another patient might require it. The cost of dental implants are highly reliant on how difficult the eventual treatment plan is.
The complications involved
Every dental treatment comes with its individual set of risks and complications. Although this should be clearly articulated during the consultation process, there are instances where complications can be unforeseen.
The brand used for the procedure
There are many brands of dental implants used or preferred by dental surgeons. The cost of the implant can influence the cost of your surgery.
High quality dental implants should not have to be out of reach
We want patients like you to have access to affordable and high-quality dental implants done by an ethical dental surgeon.
Replace broken teeth
Broken teeth that cannot be saved can be replaced with teeth replacement options like dental implants to prevent further pain and discomfort.
Prevent loss of teeth
Teeth gaps caused by loss of teeth can be replaced with same-day implants to restore your smile, bite and confidence.
Replace dentures
Dentures that can be chunky and uncomfortable can be replaced with implant dentures or traditional dental implants for a more stable bite.

The Consultation Process
At Dental Implants Singapore, we do everything with a human touch.
X-rays
A detailed range of X-rays are taken during your first visit to the dental clinic. The X-rays ensure that we have the full picture of your current oral health conditions and whether it is possible or even necessary for dental implants.
Examination and Assessment
A detailed examination where photographs will be taken of your teeth will be done during the first visit. The photographs help document your current dental condition and helps the dentist plan out a suitable treatment plan for you.
During the session, the dental surgeon will assess your suitability and viability for implants based on your X-rays and the examination.
Treatment Plan Discussion
A brief treatment plan will be suggested by the dental surgeon. The treatment plan will include the cost of treatment, how and what will be done during treatment and other key things that you should take note of.
Should you qualify for dental implants, you will be able to proceed with treatment on the following treatment visit.
Financing Options
Alternative financing options are available for all patients. We currently accept the following:
DBS/POSB/OCBC/UOB/Citibank/AMEX and most major bank cards in addition to Buy Now Pay Later platforms like PACE/ATOME/Hoolah/GRAB PayLater.
Should you wish to take up our 12-months interest-free instalment payments, our dental surgeon can arrange for financing options that will meet your requirements.

Dental Implant FAQs
We have consolidated a list of FAQs for you if you are considering dental implants and do not know whether they are suitable for you yet.
How do I know whether I am suitable for dental implants?
The best way to determine whether you are suitable for dental implants is to visit a trusted dentist for a consultation.
Most patients who are looking for teeth implants tend to have the following dental issues:
- Missing teeth
- Loose teeth
- Broken teeth
- Would like to replace their dentures
Should you wish to access your suitability for dental implants, have a consultation with our dental implant surgeon or give us a call at +65 6333 4456.
Are you a dental implant specialist?
There is no such thing as a dental implant specialist in Singapore.
However, our dental implant surgeon is trained in dental implantology in Australia, has extensive experience training and working on simple and complex dental implant cases, and works on implant cases on a daily basis.
Can I do same-day dental implants with you?
Yes it is possible to do same-day dental implants at our dental clinic, but this is done on a case-by-case basis.
While it is understandable to want dental work to be done as soon as possible, it is simply not possible on some patients due to some of the following reasons:
- Poor or weak gum health
- Poor dental hygiene
- Unsuitability for dental implants
To get a better assessment on your suitability for same-day dental implants, book an appointment with our dental surgeon to get a detailed examination.
How long does the dental implant procedure take?
Dental implants can be done immediately depending on the current state of your oral health.
For patients who have optimal gum and dental health, it is usually possible to place immediate implants. However, the dental implant process will be extended if the patient requires the following treatments:
- Gum grafting
- Bone grafting
among other addition treatments.
The best way to get a good gauge on how long the treatment duration will take is to visit the dental implant surgeon.
Do you charge the same per tooth for full upper and lower jaw dental implants?
For dental implants, there is a flat fee of $3,500 per tooth (not inclusive of GST) . This covers your crown, abutment, and implant surgery with Dr Jonathan Lim. This amount can usually be offset with Medisave, of up to $1,250 per tooth, or $7,500 for a maximum of 8 teeth in the same session.
However, there might be instances where you require further complex dental procedures such as:
- Gum grafting
- Bone grafting
or are looking for additional services such as:
- Guided Implant
- Sedation
In those instances, a separate fee will be proposed for you.
Can I use insurance or Medisave for my dental implant treatment?
Yes, it is possible to use dental insurance or Medisave for your dental implant treatment. The maximum claimable for dental implants under Medisave is $7,500 for up to 8 implants in the same session.
If you would like to enquire about your insurance options or about your maximum claim using Medisave, drop us a message at our Live Chat or via our clinic number +65 6333 4456.
